Hawke River Lodge is located on a large steady, approximately 6 kilometres from the mouth of the Hawke River. Your floatplane ride from Charlottetown will take about
15 minutes, and an experienced pilot will drop you at the dock in front of the camp. The Hawke River is renowned for its prolific numbers of Atlantic Salmon, boasting
some of the healthiest runs anywhere. Just above the camp the river forks into two branches, the Northwest Feeder and the Hawke River itself.
Both rivers offer unique challenges for the novice or seasoned angler, and provide an opportunity for some great wet and dry fly fishing. You will travel from the main
camp each day by boat to your respective beat and from there will travel up and down the river at will. You will have the choice of returning to the main camp for lunch
each day or can choose to "rough it" and have lunch on the river. Each day will be an adventure in the true pure wilderness surrounding the Hawke River.
Weather and floatplane permitting, out trips can be planned (at an additional cost), for some great brook trout fishing. The rivers are of average size and under normal
flows can be easily handled with single handed 8 or 9 weight rods.
